Better keep your mouth shut or you might end up with a UK Champion on your lap. That’s what happened when I was visiting Araki’s late 2007. Cuddling Freddy I muttered how funny I thought their show routine was: racing their TTs so young, then retiring them at their best age. I thought especially Freddy had been overshadowed by his world famous dad, Champion Araki Fabulous Willy. “Well, you go and have him”, said Ken.
Oops.

Cut to the next scene a few months later: Freddy showing in Turku International where, out of 5700 dogs, he goes reserve Best In Show. Two weeks later he does it in Tallinn – proving my point exactly!

So, we’re looking for an interesting year ahead with this exchange student, enjoying not only the shows but his totally lovable character and hopefully some adorable puppies, too.
