Ok, this is where I really started paying attention to dog's names.
Double-Noeud stands for double nods, and boy, did his owner Laura have a
full job with Blackie's baby coat. Since then she's been really picky
about what her dogs are called…
Fortunately the coat and the dog developed into a true TT hunk. Combine
style and sturdiness with a smart attitude, and you'll get Blackie.
Trotting around the rings like a king he made a bit of TT history: so
far he is the first and only TT ever to win a Veteran of Veterans gala,
invitational for all breed's Top Show Dogs. He also has uncounted Group
Wins, Best In Show Veterans and Specialty BOS and BISS.
With Blackie now retired from show rings it feels like an end of an era.
Luckily his young offspring is ready to follow his paw prints - it sure
feels promising! His earlier sons and daughters collect wins as Veterans
and have produced Champions in several generations.
